Mostly real estate documents and deeds for Tucson properties, 1856-1884. Also present is Petra Stevens' will, 1909, and a contract between Stevens, W.E. Stevens, and Thomas Hughes as co-partners, 1889. A small amount of mining material relates to the Ada Mines and Milling Company, 1876-1882.

Pioneer businessman and politician, Tucson, Ariz. Stevens was active in mining, freighting, retail trade, and territorial politics. He served as Tucson City Treasuer, Pima County Assessor, and County Supervisor at various times. He was elected to the state legislature, 1868-1871, and was delegate to the U.S. Congress, 1874-1876.
